Lobengula Advertising

Lobengula ka No Gasa is part of a clan praise of the Khumalo people. Lobengula is taken from the name of the second last king of the Northern Ndebele people – King Lobengula Khumalo. His father was the famous Mzilikazi Khumalo – Shaka Zulu’s once best friend and right-hand man. Much like Shaka, Mzilikazi was a pioneer, a true strategist and a creative thinker.

Lobengula Advertising was initially formed when Executive Managing Director & Founder, Brenda Khumalo saw the need for the transformation of women and black leadership in the advertising industry, this after she spent more than 15 years working in some of South Africa’s top advertising agencies.

After seeing that the wheels of transformation were moving at a slow pace, she decided to use her experience in the industry to do it herself and this is how Lobengula Advertising was born.

We are 100% black-owned, 100% South African agency with 70% black-female ownership.

Our mission is to conquer the nation with pioneering creative ideas and tactful business strategies that will solve business problems and we aim to do this one brief at a time. At Lobengula Advertising our sole purpose and aim is to change how brands communicate to our people and to do that, we’ve created an agency model that seeks to defy the traditional ways of the communication industry with a new-age and tactical approach that is relevant to today’s times.
